Kolmar - Performance Management Course

APPRAISALS & COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS TRAINING AT KOLMAR

A small company when we started in 1997, Kolmar Group AG has rapidly expanded and grown over the last few years.  We have found ourselves in need of expert advice in order to adequately face the challenges and the changes which have come with these developments, as well as keep up with the latest trends in human resources assessment and training.

In 2008, before we carried out internal annual employee appraisals, we had an in-house training programme for our team leaders, who attended a one-day seminar in Zug held by Impact Factory, with the title "The Best Surprise is No Surprise:  Performance Managing the Appraisal Process".

The aim of the seminar was to analyse the appraisal process from start to finish and provide coaching to our managers on how to carry out a successful appraisal, looking at possible pitfalls and giving us tips on how to best to communicate with and motivate employees.  The seminar was very useful and at the end of it, we felt we could approach appraisals with confidence.

We were so impressed by Impact Factory that we decided to invite them again in 2009, for a one-day seminar called "Two Truths and a Lie".

Special focus was given during this course to analysing different leader personalities, leading a team, motivating team members, conflict resolution, confrontation management and career development for team members.  We worked on improving our skills when communicating with team members and on how to motivate people and reward them for their efforts.  We also concentrated on aspects of leadership and teamwork, receiving lots of useful hints and tips from Impact Factory.  The course was a lot of fun and also very revealing.

The Impact Factory courses have been really useful, not only by helping us to learn some new things about ourselves, but especially by pointing us in the direction of better managing and understanding our staff here in Zug.

The Impact Factory team are very knowledgeable, professional, approachable, humorous and dedicated to providing an excellent service.  We would unreservedly recommend them for in-house courses to understand how communication and trust work within a company and intend to engage Impact Factory for training this year as well.
